"Balance" is my first recorded song on ukulele. I've actually written alot on the uke, but have never released any songs featuring this instrument until now. I learned how to play uke when I lived on the island of Maui in Hawaii. I'm always trying to marry my island girl with all the indie sound that has shaped alot of my world.

"Balance" is inspired by the stomp of Tom Waits, the whine of Kimbra, and the new wild of the Jazz Age. I was trying to make light of all the intensity of the world, and how being shakey, is not only natural, but something we should be able to laugh about, even dance in joy of!

Yes, the future is unknown, but instead of fearing all the quakes and shakes, let's embrace the wobbly nature of life, and ourselves. Let dance, play, and sing into the new world. Let's come together and find BALANCE <3
